About

About the Course

Camp Cooper provides engaging English language tuition as part of the overall camp experience, but the focus is not solely on academics. Teachers work with each student one‑to‑one to build confidence and accomplish language goals, and all English levels are welcome. However, the main learning happens through daily interaction with campers from around the world, during activities, meals, and evening events.

All electives are available. Activities include: tennis, dance, journalism, mountain biking, art, music, film‑making, outdoor adventure, performing arts, football, and sports. Evening events include dance parties, music festivals, colour war competitions, singing in the dining hall, dressing up, and camp dances.

Camp Experience

Camp Cooper is a family‑run business with over 20 years of experience. Staff‑to‑camper ratio is approximately 1:4. Staff are selected from over 750 applicants for 35 positions, with full background checks. The camp is accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC). The atmosphere is positive, inclusive, and full of “camp spirit” (singing, dressing up, spontaneity). A unique feature is focusing on what makes each child special with praise and positive reinforcement.
