Optional English Plus language sessions (Performing Arts, Speaking&Writing) are also included in the package. Extra‑cost options include English Plus tennis and fencing, as well as airport transfers, unaccompanied minor service and any additional insurance or services requested.

Accommodation

Students are accommodated in single, twin, and shared rooms (4‑ or 6‑bed) with shared bathrooms in traditional boarding houses on or near the campus. The secure residential environment and high staff‑to‑student ratios are designed to provide close supervision, especially for younger learners.

Residential students receive three meals a day on campus, including hot lunches and dinners, with menus designed for young learners. Special dietary requirements can usually be arranged in advance for an additional weekly charge, except standard vegetarian options.

Activities & Excursions

The Canterbury programme offers a wide range of sports and social activities such as water Olympics, cinema club, live‑music and disco nights, as well as local experiences like punting, pottery painting, archery, and falconry. Excursions typically include visits to places such as Cambridge, Hastings, Rye, London, and the White Cliffs of Dover.

Facilities

Facilities include classrooms, boarding houses, extensive sports areas including an indoor swimming pool, and outdoor spaces within the cathedral precincts. Students also use local attractions and city venues for excursions and activities during their stay.

Camp Experience

The Canterbury centre combines St Giles’ long experience in junior programmes with a very high level of pastoral care and supervision, making it particularly suitable for younger students. St Giles

St Giles International aims to provide high quality English language education in a friendly, student focused environment, drawing on over 70 years of experience with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and goals. The school's mission is to treat students as individuals, help them find their own voice in English, and create conditions for full language immersion both inside and outside the classroom. It emphasises values of quality, continuous improvement, care, and international experience, while maintaining family ownership and long term relationships with its learners. The teaching approach at St Giles International is learner centred: lessons are built around the aims and needs of each student, and programmes are adjusted according to the group profile and course objectives. Classes make extensive use of pair and group work, task based activities, and real life communication to develop fluency and confidence. Teachers monitor progress through regular feedback, tutorials, and formal assessment so that students can see their development and refine their study plans. Key features include accredited centres in the UK and Canada, a wide range of General English, exam preparation, teacher training, and specialised courses, and multi level classes from beginner to advanced. The school offers modern learning facilities, dedicated student support services, and organised social programmes designed to extend language practice beyond the classroom. Small class sizes and an international mix of students help create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere where learners can progress quickly and achieve their personal, academic, or professional goals.
