About the Course

English+ (11–13, min A2): English through history, science, culture, art and technology with afternoon projects. Academic English+ (14–16, min B1): CLIL morning classes on a STEM or Arts/Business/Humanities pathway. Pre-arrival level test; classes set by level and age; lessons start 9am on the first Monday.

What’s Included

Everything included except insurance: lessons, all activities, excursions, entrance fees, accommodation, food and airport transfers from Heathrow, Stansted, Luton and St Pancras (within free time windows). Extras: Gatwick transfer £350/way, London City £250/way. Deposit 10%; balance 8 weeks before the course. Pocket money guide: £50–100/week.

Accommodation

Boarding houses on the historic campus — mostly single rooms with a few doubles/triples; room requests considered but not guaranteed. All staff live on site, most within the boarding houses. Wi-Fi in houses (off 10pm–7am). Lockable box provided (bring a padlock).

Meal Plan

Three meals a day plus break-time snacks and water: varied dishes, salad bar, international and traditional British options, fresh fruit at every meal. Vegetarian always available; other diets with advance notice.

Activities & Excursions

Study tours to London, Oxford or Cambridge with hands-on museum workshops; Wednesday cultural trips; Sunday theme parks or experience days; packed evening activities from competitions to creative sessions. Four-week pupils also get an outdoor adventure centre trip.

Yes. Haileybury runs a strict Safer Recruitment Policy, all staff are vetted and trained in safeguarding, staff live on site, and the overall staff-to-pupil ratio is 1:4 (1:7 on walking excursions, 1:12 at single-site destinations). The school holds SafetyMark Platinum.
