About the Course

The Humboldt-Institut offers intensive courses with 25 lessons per week for children (ages 10-13) and 30 lessons per week for teenagers (ages 14-17), with each lesson lasting 45 minutes. Classes maintain small group sizes with an average of 11 students, focusing on developing all language skills from beginner to advanced levels. The teaching methodology emphasizes communicative competence, combining grammar instruction with conversation practice, and students are grouped by age and proficiency level to ensure effective learning progress.

What’s Included

All courses are offered as a full package including lessons, course materials, accommodation, full board with three meals daily, 24-hour supervision, daily activity program, weekly excursions with entrance fees, laundry service, and a certificate upon completion. Airport transfers are available for an additional fee from Munich, Zurich, Friedrichshafen, and Memmingen. One-to-one intensive courses with 25 or 30 lessons per week are also available as a complementary option at higher rates.

Accommodation

Students stay in twin rooms and a few triple rooms directly on campus, all equipped with en-suite bathrooms and balconies. Roommates are carefully matched by age, German language level, and different native languages to encourage German practice outside the classroom. Boys and girls are housed separately, and all rooms feature modern, comfortable furnishings. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed regularly, with daily laundry service available free of charge.

Meal Plan

Three meals per day are served in the school's dining room, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner freshly prepared daily by the kitchen staff. The menu offers a varied and healthy diet to accommodate different preferences and dietary requirements. A fruit basket is available throughout the day for students. The school is located just five minutes walking distance from downtown Bad Schussenried, and students have access to recreational areas both on campus and in the surrounding natural environment. All facilities are designed to support both academic and leisure activities year-round regardless of weather conditions.
