About

About the Course

The program focuses on intensive German instruction with 30 lessons per week (45 minutes each), designed for all levels from beginners to advanced learners. Classes are kept small, averaging 11 students, to ensure personalized attention. The teaching approach emphasizes practical communication skills, grammar, vocabulary, and real-life usage, encouraging students to speak German both inside and outside the classroom.

What’s Included

The base fee includes full-board accommodation, 30 German lessons per week, daily activities, excursions, and laundry service. Optional extras include skiing or snowboarding lessons (available from January to February) and one-to-one intensive courses with 25 or 30 weekly lessons. Transfer services from Munich or Zurich airports are available.

Accommodation

Students stay either on campus in modern twin, triple, or quadruple rooms with en-suite bathrooms and views of the Alps or forest, or with carefully selected host families (available July–August). Rooms are gender-separated, and roommates are matched by age and German level but different native languages to encourage German practice. All accommodations are supervised, secure, and within walking distance or with organized transport to the school.

Meal Plan

Full board is provided with three fresh meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) served in the school dining room. The kitchen offers a varied, healthy menu, with fruit available throughout the day. Students staying with host families have breakfast at home and other meals at school. Any specific dietary needs are advised to be communicated during the registration process.

Activities & Excursions

The program offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, plus half- and full-day excursions to cities like Munich, Stuttgart, and Zurich. In winter, optional skiing and snowboarding courses are available. Activities aim to combine fun, cultural immersion, physical exercise, and social integration, fostering a lively and cohesive international community.

Facilities

The campus features student rooms and classrooms in the same building, creating a compact, boarding-school environment. Facilities include modern classrooms, a dining room, and leisure areas. The institute also makes use of Lindenberg’s natural surroundings—proximity to the Alps, lakes, and neighboring countries—for outdoor and excursion-based learning. The infrastructure is described as modern and well-equipped.
