About

About the Course

The academic programme is built on an intensive and immersive schedule, featuring over 40 hours of expert teaching and project work. The learning methodology moves beyond traditional lectures, focusing on interactive seminars, collaborative group projects, and our signature "Living Lab" hands-on workshops, where theory is applied to real-world challenges like mock trials or engineering projects. Teaching is personalised within small, focused groups, ensuring individual attention and tailored feedback. The curriculum is designed for advanced learners, with all academic programmes requiring a C1 (Advanced) level of English. The core focus is on mastering subject fundamentals, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and building the confidence to articulate complex ideas, thereby preparing students for future academic success.

What’s Included

The comprehensive programme fee includes all core components for a complete academic and residential immersion. This encompasses all academic tuition (over 40 hours of teaching), study materials, and full accommodation in a University of Cambridge college. The meal plan provides breakfast and dinner daily for all, plus lunch for students aged 12-15. The fee also covers a rich schedule of daily on-campus activities: college tours, cultural visits, skills-building seminars, expert guest lectures, and sports sessions, alongside welcome and graduation events. Students receive a graduation certificate, a detailed personal report, Wi-Fi access, and Oxford Royale merchandise. Optional extras for an additional fee include a supervised airport transfer service, specific excursions (like a full-day London trip), en-suite room upgrades, and premium academic or family experience packages. A non-refundable registration fee is required upon booking to secure a place.

Accommodation

Students experience authentic university life by residing in secure, single-sex accommodation within the historic colleges of the University of Cambridge. Rooms are typically single or twin occupancy, with bathroom facilities either shared among a small group of same-sex students or en suite (available as a paid upgrade). The colleges provide a safe, supervised environment with 24/7 security at entry points, controlled access, and sign-in/out procedures for students leaving campus, ensuring both comfort and safety.

Meal Plan

The meal plan is age-dependent. Students aged 16-18 receive breakfast and dinner daily in the grand college dining halls, with the opportunity to explore Cambridge's humming market square and lively restaurants for lunch at their own expense. Students aged 12-15, however, are on a full-board basis with breakfast, lunch, and dinner all provided on campus. Oxford Royale can accommodate most dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, allergies) if notified at least 60 days in advance via the mandatory Medical and Dietary Form.

Activities & Excursions

The programme offers a rich, balanced blend of academic, cultural, and social activities. Beyond studies, students explore the city's rich culture and traditions, from the medieval architecture of King’s College and Trinity College’s Tudor courtyard to punting on the River Cam. Evenings are packed with energy and fun through organised events like quiz nights, debates, silent discos, and bowling. These activities are designed to foster global friendships, cultural exchange, personal growth, and unforgettable memories alongside academic learning.

Facilities

Learning takes place within the iconic settings of Cambridge University colleges, utilizing their classrooms, lecture halls, and historic spaces. While specific sports facilities vary by college, students have access to common rooms, lawns, and WiFi across the secure campus. The programme extensively uses the city itself as a "living lab" – from its ancient streets and architectural wonders like the Mathematical Bridge to its museums and vibrant market square, blending on-campus life with the rich cultural and academic resources of Cambridge.

Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that education shapes futures, and we strive to prepare students for success at university and beyond by offering them a 'taste of their future'. We offer a unique immersion into life at leading global universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, and others. Students live and study on historic campuses, providing an authentic experience. A key feature is exclusive events, such as private receptions at museums (e.g., the Ashmolean), debates, and talks by distinguished guest speakers (like Professor Brian Cox). Our community brings together over 50,000 alumni from 175 countries, fostering cross-cultural exchange and the creation of a global network. Our curriculum, designed and taught by expert practitioners, goes far beyond ordinary classroom learning. The focus is on interactive study through seminars, hands-on workshops in 'The Living Lab', and real-world problem-solving (e.g., building robots or participating in mock trials). This allows students to apply theory in practice, developing critical thinking and self-assurance. Each student receives personalised feedback and an achievement report.
