Students receive 20 hours of lessons per week, with a maximum of 14 students per class. The programme consists of three components. English for the Future sessions develop language proficiency across the four skills with a particular focus on global problems, supported by TED Talks and vocabulary building related to sustainability. Future Thinking sessions develop debating and critical thinking skills through practical workshops on internet research, preparing students for 'Friday for the Future' debates. Project for the Future requires students to work in groups on one of the Agenda 2030 sustainable development goals, turning their findings into a podcast, blog, news story, or short film. Weekly progress checks monitor performance, and students attend a one-to-one tutorial with their teacher every Friday to discuss their progress. Afternoon activities are compulsory for English for the Future students, offering a wide range of sports, arts, and recreational activities. Evening social events are also compulsory and include discos, karaoke, talent shows, and games nights.
The course is focused on developing English language proficiency, critical thinking, and leadership skills through exploring global challenges and sustainable development.
